Theres no place like home'

More recently I have been spending allot more time blogging and looking at local blogs online and it can really become addicting! Before you know it, what seemed like a few minutes can all of a sudden be a few hours... I mainly look at fashion or style blogs, but I have currently become very found of home decor and interior design blogs.  Not to long ago I had my bedroom painted a light-grey and the theme is black  and white with soft accents of pale pink.  I really like how it is turning out, but it is still missing a few ideal pieces that will make it perfect.  Here are some cute additions that I am on a mission to find to add to my humble abode!

A new take on an old classic

This Holiday season I have got a new fashion crush on the tried and true holiday favorite...  Velvet.  And this time it isn't just for obnoxious tracksuits anymore ladies! It is now lining the racks of designer and local boutiques and stores and making a statement in magazines and fashion blogs around the globe.  If you are looking for something different to wear to a Holiday party or event this winter, try to find a special velvet piece! Designers are creating pieces in a variety of velvety textures including quilted, printed and even bejewelled...(Dont know how I feel about bejewelled velet.... seems like something the ManRepeller might post about?)  Enjoy:)

6. Monsoon black coat -$80
7.
Miss Selfridge black hair accessory -$6.50

And if you aren't feeling ready to rock a velvet frock, try going for some accessories, or shoes! You can NEVER go wrong with a hot pair of heels!!

Ahhhh these are all just to amazing, I want them all.. what else is new.. ...
These gorgous numbers are all under $200.00 and are from designed byAldo, Betsy Johnson, Micheal Kors and Charloutte Rousse.

Have a happy Wednesday everyone and make sure to subscribe and follow, follow, follow!!

So long November, hello Movember...

As we all know, November is now known as Movember.  Movember is the month delegated to the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in Canada and around the world. With their “Mo’s”, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer.  Movember Canada is a website that allows men to upload and track the growth of both their mustache and their donations.
You can donate money to an individual, a team or to the Movember cause itself. All funds raised go directly to Prostate Cancer Canada and the Movember Foundation.

Join the fun with these Movember items and ideas.  Sales of these items will help raise awareness and help men's health.

Demitasse has agreed to donate $8 of every sale of Urban Demistache necklaces purchased through the Demitasse website

Celebrate Movember with your favorite Mo' cookie.  Created and sold through Fuzzy Ink Tees are both practical in terms of use and an excellent tool to get the word out and proudly proclaim the wearer’s support of such an important and worthy cause.

One for One- Tom has created Mo' inspired casual wear to help get the message across.

Winter White

I’m not sure who came up with the oldly outdated fashion rule that warns fashionistas to remove white from their wardrobes between Labour Day and Memorial Day,  but let’s just say I’d rather not take their advice — white is one of my favorite colors to wear, especially on the coldest days of the year. The crisp look of white in dreary winter is unexpected, bold, and ultra feminine.  If you’re looking for a way to stand out in a dreary crowd of black, brown, and navy blue— try an outfit that incorporates winter white!

Tips to try:
-If you are worried about wearing a bright white, go for a nice off white, creme or ivory.
-Try to wear heavier materials, opposed to lighter materials that we tend to see more of in the warmer months.
-Faux Fur is a fun way to add instant style to your look.
-If you are brave, you could rock a pair of white pants, however, a white coat or dress might be easier during the hectic winter months.

Make your season bright

Fall and Winter are my two favorite seasons.  I love layering cozy pieces together and piling on cute winter accessories.  The color selections of seasonal clothes always standout against the cold weather, so try to add a peice of color to any winter outfit.  In order to keep your wardrobe festive and stylish try dressing in more seasonal colors and with Christmas around the color, try adding a nice Holiday red to your closet.

currently lusting over

Well, as always, when November first rolls around, my parents are always demanding a copy of my Christmas list, or in my case my lust list.  Happy lusting everyone:)

I am defiantly wanting a pair of over the knee cognac riding boots, as well as a pair of ankle boots. I love the Jennifer Zuener necklaces that are of your own initials! Absolutely adorable.  I also really need to find a cute pair of everyday gold earrings.  I really liked these stud ones! More cozy sweaters to layer with... I already have a bunch but I l-o-v-e them!! A cute Jewelle tonne hat, I love the envelope clutches and I am also kinda digging the new fur purses, cute and very trendy!  A nice pair of tan trousers, a polka dot blouse and a nice knee length skirt! These are just some ideas and oddly enough they are basically all form H &M... hopefully I can resist the temptation of buying them for myself before the Holidays arrive...
