MTV VMAS

The Sunday night, live VMA show was a success, with performances from Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Adele, Jay Z and Kanye West and sooo many more (those were my favorites of course!) and we cant forget the amazing tributes to Brittney Spears, Amy Winehouse and Tony Bennett. The show was hothothot and of course, the celebrities fashion choices were on the topic for discussion. Any show put on by MTV will cause celebrities to battle it out for the worst dressed title, and most of the other celebs wore just blah ensembles this year..a little disappointing! However, here are my favorite looks and some of my other favorite looks of the night, but for different reasons..

BEST:

Beyonce looked amazing as ever, showing off her newly announced Baby news!!
Is it totally wrong that I like Snookies dress in a small, weird way?

WORST:
Oh Deena.. if that dress wasn't bad enough, your bad hair extension job is even worse...

Who would have expected that Christian Dior was responsible for this little number...

The girl has talent and its awesome that she is daring with her looks, but this is just a Harajuko  Girl on steroids..

This is just gross..

THE UNDECIDED:

I honestly don't know how I feel about these two dresses.. I think I like them, I just don't know! I mean at least Miley Cyrus is wearing something covering her body for once, but this one is more age appropriate for a eighty year old woman.

Hope you enjoyed the show as much as I did!!

Friday Favorite-Electric blue' Feel

These past few weeks, I have really been idolizing over colbat blue. It is striking, powering and just looks damn good on. I have only purchased one colbat blue item- a half silk, see through-ish blouse that is a bit longer so it can be worn with leggings and it has these cute gold buttons down the front.  The next colbat blue item on my wishlists is some tailored pants!

Here are some other electric blue' peices to help inspire you:

Splurge or steal?

Since I was younger, I have been in love with the show Gilmore Girls.  Me and my mom would watch every single episode, it was our bonding time haha. There was one episode in particular that I still remember to this day, and it was the episode when ,Logan presented Rory with  pink Birkin Hermes bag.  Rory in her peculiar ways, did not appreciate the true magnitude of the gift.  She suggested that the bag to be used as a bag for her computer cords.... which in all truth, the bag itself is a symbol of wealth due to its high price and elusiveness to the public. Its prices range from $9,000 to $150,000.... maybe one day right? Anyways, I drooled over the bag for years to follow.  Spotting a bag on Gossip Girl, Sex and the City or in magazines, I was always ecstatic.  With my painfully low part time job wages, it will take me years, maybe decades to afford a real one, however I have founded a similar version for a millionth of the price..(Don't mind my horrible lack of math knowledge..)
Aldo has a similar model that is structured quite similar, but with a more modern and trendier edge. Lemme know what you think!

First of all, lets all drool over the original Birkin bags..

Now, if you love this bag as much as I do, here is the more wallet friendly version...

All of the Aldo bags are under sixty dollars.  I bought an all black one with gold hardware. It arrived in the mail today! I cannot wait to use it!

Love

Here are some cute pics of what is currently making me haaaaappppy!

Missoni for Target

The signature and iconic eye catching patterns are familiar, but the prices are not.  On September 13 2011, Target will be launching Missoni’s 400 piece luxury line to the public. With pieces ranging from $3.00 to $600.00, there is something available for every price budget.  The line is featuring items such as wide variety of clothing items to bath towels, bedding, furniture, dishes, accessories and even bicycles! The clothing, as we all know, will be fabulous, featuring the iconic zigzags and colourful swirly designs in a very mod vibe.  The line hits stores and online September 13 and will be there until October 22, or until supplies last.  Which, after looking at the look book, I'm guessing it wont be all that long!

"It's been a fantastic experience, " says Angela Missoni, seen below working on Missoni's fall 2011 collection, shown in Febuary, "One we are eager to share with families across the United States."

Some of my favorite pieces!  Checkout the full Look book to see more of the amazing pieces in the collection.
